star flower reality check

a flower grows in outer-space

long and lonely

its pedals eclipsed by the moon

in its distant droop 

saturn's stuck in a hula hoop

dreaming in reality

art is made to express the self

art is confidence in self-portrayal

art is the intersection of self and beauty

is it ever made by asking

what do they want me to make?

what do they like?

art is bravery in knowing what you love

it may cause misery, or overwhelming happiness

the answer to the question

lies in the reflection

of the viewer's soul

not the viewership

art is made by the brave or reckless soul that dares to be the viewee

regardless of what it means

to be seen
